Lisa Gallivan
Halifax has been my home for 21 years and I am very excited about the goals that this group is trying to achieve.  I look forward to working with this enthusiastic group of individuals to make Halifax an even more vibrant city.

Lisa is currently a Partner at the Halifax Office of Stewart McKelvey Stirling Scales.  Her practice involves providing advice and legal representation to public and private sector clients in federal, provincial and municipal jurisdictions; representing clients in connection with collective bargaining, union certification matters, labour board proceedings, grievance arbitration, wrongful dismissal claims, human rights issues, occupational health and safety matters, workers compensation issues and employment standards matters as well as negotiating and drafting executive employment contracts, termination agreements and other agreements pertaining to executive compensation.   She is also part time lecturer at MSVU and SMU, a co-editor of a quarterly legal publication on updates in the area of employment and labour law as well as a frequent speaker on related issues.  Her volunteer activities include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Homebridge Youth Society and the YWCA.  Lisa has a Bachelor of Laws and an MBA from Dalhousie University. Lisa is a resident of Halifax.
